Bette Jean Broady , 74, entered eternal life on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Maple Manor Christian Home. She was born in Sellersburg on June 21, 1949 to the late Henry and Mary Leach (Bottorff). Bette was a homemaker and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Sellersburg. She enjoyed working in her yard, bowling, puzzles and quiet fishing trips with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Eugene Broady and by her sister, Ruth Daily.

Survivors include her son, Darin Broady (Kristi) of Lexington, Kentucky, her daughter, Tani Austin (David) of Sellersburg, her step-son, John Broady (Sonya) of Sellersburg, her step-daughter, Kimberly Marshall (David) of Louisville, her brother, Henry Leach of Grove City, Ohio and her grandchildren, Nathan Austin, Katelynd Austin, Elisabeth Broady, Anthony Broady, Elaina Broady, Alex Broady, Nicholas Broady, Jessica Proffitt (Patrick) and Cody Marshall. Bette also leaves 4 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
