Sellersburg, Indiana Bertha Lee Thompson Cummins, 102, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Lincoln Hills in New Albany.  She and her husband, Rev. James W. Cummins, Sr. co-founded the Sellersburg First Baptist Church.  Bertha taught for 33 years and retired from Stout Elementary School.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James W. Cummins, Sr., son, James W. Cummins, Jr. and three siblings, Clarence, Elwood and Rev. James Thompson.  Surviving are a son, Thompson Cummins, daughters, Bettye Vaught and Carole Cummins, nine grandchildren and four, great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Sellersburg First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM at the Garr Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Sellersburg First Baptist Church or Lottie Moon.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
