Bertha E. Koestel, 94, entered eternal life on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Maple Manor Christian Home.  She was a retired Registered Nurse, a music teacher, former organist for Graceland Baptist Church and Speed Church and the current organist for Grace Community Church.  Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Koestel, sister, Anne Mae Riggle and brother, Jesse Earl Riggle.  Surviving are her two sons, Gary (Debbie) Koestel, New Albany, Robert (Tracy) Koestel, Scottsburg, daughter, Ellen (Kenny) Hecker, Henryville, grandchildren, Sofia Koestel, Joshua (Cindy) Hecker, Troy (Kelli) Hecker, April (Adam) Alday, Megan (Todd) Balsley, Mallory (Justin) Ramsey, Mitchell (Tara) Koestel and eleven great-grandchildren.  Due to the current pandemic situation a private visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday at the Garr Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Grace Community Church, 124 S.
