Barbara J. Fullerton , 81, entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on September 24, 1942, in Louisville, Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Winbun.

Barbara dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting young minds as a teacher's assistant at Silver Creek Junior High School in Sellersburg, where she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and patience.

A  member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Barbara found solace and strength in her faith. She was an active participant in church activities, where her compassion and community spirit were deeply valued until her health wouldn't allow her to do so.

In her retirement, Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bingo player, often enjoying games with friends at her retirement community at Traditions at Hunter Station. Her creativity shone through in her love for crafts, particularly sewing, where she created beautiful, handmade items that will be cherished by her family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Fullerton.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Fullerton (Karen) of Fishers, Indiana, Larry Fullerton (Tracy) of Sellersburg, her brother Joseph Winbun (Peggy), her sisters, Harriet Maupin, Becky Doscher (Doug) and Briana Winbun. Barbara also leaves her three grandsons to cherish her legacy, Jonathan Fullerton, Trevor Fullerton and Connor Fullerton. Cremation was chosen to honor Barbara's wishes. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
