Sellersburg, Indiana

Archie "Junior" Wells, 94, entered eternal life on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg.  He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and retired from International Harvester in Louisville.  Archie was a member of Flat Woods United Methodist Church in Camden, Tennessee and an avid outdoorsman.  He was preceded by his loving wife of 62 years, Pauline Wells, one brother, Eugene Wells and a sister, Lucy Roe.  Surviving are his son, Wayne (Shirley) Wells, Sellersburg, daughters, Alice (Terry) Watson, New Albany, Patricia (Ralph) Daily, Aviston, Illinois, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Henryville.  Visitation will be Saturday from  10AM until the time of service.  The family wants to give a special thanks and appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Maple Manor Christian Home for their years of loving care, friendship and support.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Maple Manor Christian Home, 643 W.
