Obituary

Anna Mae Riggle , 91, entered eternal life on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born at home in Speed, Indiana on December 23, 1927 to the late Jesse and Veva Riggle (Walker).  Miss. Riggle earned her undergraduate and master's degree from Indiana University and perused a career higher education. She retired from Morehead State University where she held the position of Dean of Students. Miss. Riggle was very active in the Miss Kentucky Beauty Pageant, the Silver Creek High School Alumni Association and campus related activities at Morehead State University. She was also a member of Grace Community Church in Sellersburg.  In her leisure time she enjoyed golfing, horseback riding, knitting, Baking and ultimately spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Riggle.

She is survived by her sister, Bertha E. Koestel of Sellersburg and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M.  on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Silver Creek High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund (503 North Indiana Ave. Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) or to The Morehead State University Foundation, Palmer Development House (364 University Street, Morehead Kentucky, 40351)
