It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Hauser Truman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, who peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Born on November 27, 1957, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Ann was a cherished resident of Sellersburg, Indiana.

Ann was predeceased by her loving parents, James and Loretta Hauser, whose memories she cherished dearly. She is survived by her devoted children, Beth Truman (Dylan Meador) and Ryan Truman (Hannah LaReau), who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Her adoring grandchildren, Oliver LaReau, Saige Ann Truman, and Daisy Truman, were the light of her life, bringing her endless joy and pride. Ann also leaves her two "grandpups" Scout and Riley to cherish her memory.

A caring and compassionate nurse, Ann dedicated 46 remarkable years to Norton Children's Hospital, where she impacted countless lives with her skill and warmth. Her work was not just a career but a true calling, as she tirelessly put her patients' needs before her own.

Ann graduated from Silver Creek High School before pursuing her passion for nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky and later a master's degree in nursing from Spalding University in Louisville. Her dedication to her profession was mirrored by her commitment to her faith, as a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church.

Ann's hobbies were centered around her family, and she found immense joy in the company of her children and grandchildren. Known as the quintessential caretaker, she always ensured the well-being of those around her. Her nurturing spirit and selfless nature defined her life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (2253 West St. Joe Road, Sellersburg, Indiana). Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the mass at the church.
