Alice L. Kraft Tyra , 87, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. She was born to the late Robert and Violet Kopp (Ging) on December 16, 1931 in Indianapolis. Alice worked many years as a Nurse's Assistant at Clark Memorial Hospital located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was a former member of the Memphis General Baptist Church and a former auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 204. In her spare time Alice enjoyed volunteering at the Ken Ellis Senior Citizen Center.  She was preceded in death by her sons, Dale and Robert Kraft, her first husband, Lewis Kraft and by her second husband, Bill Tyra. Survivors include her brother, Gregory Kopp (Debbie) of Indianapolis, her sisters, Mildred "Midge" Davis (Richard) of Indianapolis, Frances "Fran" Bucy (David) of Riverside, California and Barbara "Babbs" Kopp of Indianapolis. Alice also leaves behind many nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
