Sellersburg, Indiana

Alice May Smith, 83, entered eternal life on Thursday, October 03, 2019 at Diversicare Providence Retirement Home in New Albany.  She worked for American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville.  Alice was a member of the New Washington Baptist Church and attended Utica Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie Hazelrigg, one brother, Buddy Hazelrigg one sister, Jean Clark and a step-son, Jonathan Patrick Smith.  Surviving are her loving husband of 41 years, Jack T. Smith, Sellersburg, daughters, Pamela (Steve) Javins, Taylorsville, Kentucky, Dianna (John) Boggs, Fisherville, Kentucky, Beverly Butler, Henryville, Theresa (Chuck) Yaeger, Henryville, step-son, Jack Smith, Jr., Sellersburg, step-daughter, Jackie (Mark) James, Sellersburg, brother, Robert Lee (Vickie) Hazelrigg, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 2PM on Monday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 10AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana, 502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150.  Online condolences can be made to www.garrfuneralservices.com.
