Sellersburg, Indiana

Alfred "Al" Yost, 91, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd.  He was born to the late Adolph and Mary Yost in New Albany, Indiana.  Al served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He was a retired Carpenter, a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus), where he was a member of the Men's Club, American Legion Post 28, VFW Post 3281, Sellersburg Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Jeffersonville.  Al enjoyed gardening and attending local Flea Markets. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Yost, brothers, Joseph, Kenneth, George, Bob and Bill Yost.  Surviving are his son's, Stephen (Rosie) Yost, Thomas (Sue) Yost, Paul Yost, David Yost, Kevin (Christy) Yost, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  A Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Friday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus) with burial to follow at St. Joe Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 12-8PM at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. John Paul II Building Fund, 2605 W.
