Victoria Maegan Johnston, 27, beloved daughter and sister passed away Sunday, March 11th, 2018. She was born in Mount Vernon, Illinois on August 23rd, 1990 to Amy and Frank Johnston.
Victoria was a 2009 graduate of Silver Creek High School, a 2016 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College receiving an associate’s degree in Business Administration, and was currently enrolled in Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN, nearing completion of her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. She was employed at Vision Telecom. in Louisville, KY
Growing up, Tori excelled in sports, primarily basketball, softball, and soccer. The Johnston family enjoyed countless nights and weekends following Tori as she played AAU and school basketball games across the state of Indiana. The Johnston’s gained many friends over the years as a result. Victoria was also an avid college basketball fan, and was passionate about Duke which was strongly contested at home. As many of you who knew Victoria personally, she was a physically and mentally strong, spirited young lady who enjoyed life, her relationship with boyfriend Corey, and her pet cats, Emme and Cleo.
Survivors include her parents, Amy and Frank Johnston Jr., brother Travis, sister Chloe, her boyfriend, Corey King and her Grandmothers, Benita Phillips and Mary Loretta Johnston. Victoria also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Johnnie E. Phillips and Frank A. Johnston Sr.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Visitation will continue on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Legacy Owensboro Church (3300 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Legacy Owensboro Church with interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery in St. Joseph Kentucky. A brief visitation will take place on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the time of the service at the church.
