Phyllis B. Bratcher, 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Rolling Hills Health Care Center in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on March 1, 1934 to the late Chester and Viola (Logan) Branson in Viper Kentucky. Mrs. Bratcher retired from General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky after 30 years of service at the plant. Her passions included gardening and caring for her two dogs, Sadie and Sam. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Rolling Hills Health Care especially Andy and Angel for their extraordinary care. Mrs. Bratcher was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lenard Bratcher, her son, Charles Eric Bratcher, her daughters, Shirley Westover, Lou Ann Oehsmann, Julie Ann Bratcher, her siblings, Charlene Borris, Mary Ann Worral, Carol Kraft and James Branson.
Survivors include her son, Robert Bratcher (Charlotte) of New Haven, Missouri, her daughter, Sandie Hendiges (Steve) of Sellersburg, Indiana, her brother, Leonard “Buck” Branson of Viper, Kentucky, Brother-in-law/best friend, Micky Worral and her almost daughter, Karen Cherry
Mrs. Bratcher also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with a private interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
