Lula Perkins, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on March 31, 1927 to the late Thee and Maggie Everage in Knott County, Kentucky. Ms. Perkins retired from Fire Side Grill in Sellersburg after 41 years of service as a cook. She previously attended church at the Carr Township Baptist Church located in Borden, Indiana. Ms. Perkins enjoyed cooking, fishing, and the outdoors. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her loving family. Ms. Perkins was preceded in death by her brothers, Shelby Everage, Burl Everage, Dewey Everage and her sisters, Lona Amburgey, Lola Sumner, and Lois Gibson.

Survivors include her daughters, Gale Spencer (Jr.) of Memphis, Indiana, Pam Muncy of Sellersburg, her sister-in-law, Ellogene Everage of Sellersburg, her grandchildren, Debra Ledbetter (Paul), Maggie Summers (Nash), Tyler Spencer, Katilin Spencer, and her great grandchildren, Jonah Ledbetter, Heather Ledbetter, Hannah Ledbetter, Khloe Summers, and Deacon Summers.  Ms. Perkins also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Forrest Grove Cemetery in Borden, Indiana. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
