Hollie Whitsett Obituary

Hollie Beck Whitsett, 38, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at her home in Brandenburg, Kentucky. She was born on May 25, 1980 to John and Sally Whitsett (Morlen) in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Hollie worked at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky where she was a Registered Nurse.  She was a 1998 graduate of Silver Creek High School. Hollie played basketball for Indiana University Southeast while attending classes there. She was a 2016 graduate of Galen College of Nursing. Hollie was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was a very special person to many people. Hollie was preceded in death by her father and her Granny, Betty Morlen.

Survivors include her wife, Amanda Whitsett of Brandenburg, Kentucky, her mother and father, Brian and Sally Stemle of Charlestown, her sons, James Lutz (Shelby), Ricky Lutz, Alex Lutz, Ayden Ferguson, her daughter, Adalee Atwell, her sister, Jessica Barnett (Kyle) of Sellersburg and by her brothers, Dustin Whitsett (Robin) of New Albany and Brian Stemle of Memphis, Indiana.

 

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow per Hollie’s wishes. Visistation will take place on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
