Evelyn T. Hardman Franz, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 15, 1924 to the late George and Eula Hardy (Ray) in Louisville. Evelyn was a past member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus) and a home maker. She volunteered at the VA Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky for 26 years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmet Hardman, Sr. and by her son Leo Hardman, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Franz of Louisville, sons, Charles Hardman (Marsha) of Lewisburg, Kentucky, Larry Hardman, Sr. (Tracy) of Madison, Indiana, daughters, Linda Schneider of Solsberry, Indiana, Cathie Russell (Charlie) of Charlestown, Indiana, Donna Travers of Bloomfield, Indiana, Jeanie Reed (Jim) of Madison, Indiana, Karen Potts, Rockvale, Tennessee, her sisters, Delores, Murray of Louisville, Dorothy Gaddie of Lantana, Florida and Edith McFarland of Woodstock, Georgia. Evelyn also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at St. Joe Hill Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Garr Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
