Patrick "Terry" Baize

Patrick “Terry” Baize, 78, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home in Sellersburg with his family by his side.  Terry was born on June 26, 1942 to the late Cary and Bessie Baize (Daniels) in Whiting, Indiana.  He was a retired self employed electrician. Terry was a deacon at his church, Bethel Baptist Church of Memphis, Indiana for over 40 years. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the golf course, fishing and a good game of cards, but ultimately he enjoyed spending quality time with his family. Terry loved spending time at his second home in Okeechobee, Florida with his loving wife of 57 years, Brenda Baize. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, William, Paul and Hugh Baize.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Baize of Sellersburg, his daughter, Tere Yvette Baize of Sellersburg, his son, Patrick “Steven" Baize (Tonya) of New Albany, Indiana, his ½ sister, Cheryl Holt of Phoenix, Arizona and his 6 grandchildren, Parker Baize, Paige Baize, Devin Beaver, Chris Beaver, Seneca Shireman and Dane Shireman. Terry also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Alec Beaver and Tristyn Beaver.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The grave side ceremony will be private.
