Elizabeth "Betty" (Paulin) Owen

Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Owen, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born on May 8, 1951, to the late Franklin and Clara Mae Paulin in Louisville, Kentucky, Betty's life was one of warmth, generosity, and devotion to her family and friends.

Throughout her career as a pharmacy technician, Betty touched the lives of many with her compassionate care and dedication to helping others. In her leisure time, she found joy in traveling, sewing, gardening, and baking, passions that brought her immense happiness and fulfillment.

Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Nick, Frank, Jim, and Dave Paulin, as well as her stepson, Michael Owen.

She is survived by her loving husband, Nelson Owen of Sellersburg; her son, Todd Marlowe (Laura) of Louisville, Kentucky; her stepson, Joseph Owen (Julie) of Franklin, Indiana; her brothers, Robert Paulin of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Thomas Paulin (Cathy) of Louisville, Kentucky; her sisters, Carolyn McClanahan of New Albany, Indiana, Janice Roy (Lewis) of Charlestown, Indiana and Gloria Olschewski of Lakepoint, Utah. Betty also leaves behind 10 cherished grandchildren who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
