Opal Faye Bratcher, 83, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Baptist Health-Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on October 9, 1933 to the late Andrew and Thula (Walls) Roller in Charlestown, Indiana. Mrs. Bratcher retired from American Tobacco Company in Louisville, Kentucky and Imco/Brockway in Jeffersonville, Indiana where she worked in production. She enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Bratcher was an avid bingo player, reader, puzzle solver and game show watcher. She had a long and enjoyable life!  She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Bratcher, and her three brothers Arthur, Ray and Junior Roller. Survivors include her sons, Gilbert (Maggie) Bratcher, Jr. of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Norman (Rena) Bratcher of Clarksville, Indiana, Michael (Lisa) Bratcher of Fishers, Indiana, her daughters, Dawn (Paula Ratliff) Bratcher of Louisville, Kentucky, Deborah Bratcher of Clarksville, Indiana, grandchildren, Robin, Justin, Savannah, Mackenzie, Iris, Lee, Dee, Heather, Shane, Norman, and Slone. Mrs. Bratcher is also survived by her 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday January 13, 2017 from 2PM until 8PM at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.
